Carlos Sanchez is Director of Commodities and Asset Management at CPM Group.

Carlos has more than thirteen years experience in the commodities sector in the financial industry. He currently advises producers, consumers, investors, and governments that have commodity interests on managing their price risks and building profit opportunities. Mr. Sanchez leads the hedging advisory practice at CPM Group, developing client-tailored cost effective commodity price risk management programs. He previously headed commodities research at CPM Group, and has contributed heavily to CPM Group’s research reports and consulting projects since 1999. Given his experience and knowledge of the commodities markets from his extensive roles in research, he continues to contribute to the firm’s research products and consulting projects. Carlos is regularly quoted in the financial press and speaks at industry conferences around the world.

Carlos also leads CPM Group’s Asset Management work, servicing accredited investor clients.

Prior to joining CPM Group Carlos worked at the Fixed Income Trading Desk at Bankers Trust Co., where he managed and allocated daily client cash flow in excess of $500 million.

Mr. Sanchez received a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in finance and information systems from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
